Buckhorn Camp is proud to offer a beautiful, natural setting for any kind of gathering from spiritual and recovery retreats to juggling conventions and quilt shows. We highly recommend scheduling a tour to really begin imagining how our grounds can serve your program.
Our camp is divided into East and West camp by Bear Trap Creek allowing us to host both large and small groups and for very large groups we are happy to rent the entire campgrounds.
The East side is where we host full service meals and has multiple styles of sleeping quarters. This is the larger side capable of housing and dining for 260 people year round. We can accommodate slightly more in the summer when we can use the patio for dining and have tents set up for additional sleeping areas.
The Peace Center is our multi purpose building able to accommodate seating for over 500 people to view the stage with a large projector screen and robust audio equipment. The building also host our indoor basketball and volleyball courts and has a conference room and a classroom available.
Norton Hall (named for Ron and Debi Norton who are former camp managers) is our main dining hall capable of seating 270 people indoor (more seating outside) for meal service. This is where we prepare and serve all of our meals. There is a projector screen, PA system, and fireplace available here.
Central bathroom buildings for the A frame style housing. Feature boys and girls sides with # to # sinks, toilets, and showers in each side. We take pride in the cleanliness of our bathroom facilities.
We have 3 wrangler buildings with 3 to 4 rooms in each building. These feature sleeping for 4 in 2 bunk beds and a full private bathroom.
WE have a separate space available for attending to the needs of little ones with a shed full of toys and a swing set. This area is surrounded by a fence with a covered patio, indoor space, and a bathroom.
Our A dorm building 4 rooms that sleep 8 people on 4 bunk beds and has a lower level with 3 more rooms. 8 full private bathrooms (2 handicap accessible) are located just across the open air hallway.

This building features a nurse’s station with a sink, locking mini-fridge, a desk, and 2 beds. On the opposite side there is an office space with a window bar to receive guests and registration materials. There is a full bathroom as well.
There are 11 platforms for army style canvas tents. There is room for 8 beds in these tents or they can be used as classrooms or small meeting areas.
If you prefer to bring your own sleeping arrangements we are ready to accommodate with 15 RV hookups and a restroom C nearby.
Seating for 300, a covered stage, and a sound system that can be heard throughout the grounds. This outdoor amphitheater is a excellent place for worship or performances. There is a screen but you will need to bring a projector for presentations or movies.
With seat for 150 this space is great for singing and chatting by the fire. Also a good space to gather and address a crowd.
West side is capable of housing 108 people without using our large tent platforms. This side features a self service kitchen and a smaller dining/meeting space for smaller groups that are looking for a comfortable cabin feel.
The main dining hall for the West side features a cozy meeting space with a stage and a fireplace. This space has a full self service kitchen with a walk-in fridge, full dish-washing station, and double oven. Plenty of room for outdoor dining on the large patio.
Capable of sleeping 108 people in 3 buildings these dorms have 4 rooms each with 8 beds (4 bunks). There is one basement level room with an additional 12 beds.
Each side for men and women has 4 sinks, 5 toilets, and 5 showers. Bathrooms are kept clean and well stocked with paper products.
3 extra large tent platforms capable of sleeping 16 people or may be used as a craft space or open air meeting/gathering space.
This outdoor amphitheater is a beautiful setting for any gathering capable of seating 100 people and with ample lighting at night. There is electric plugs to power your own audio system.
A cozy space for fireside songs, chats, and making s’mores. Water hose is close by for safety purposes.
Half court outdoor basketball and a coral for Gaga ball, a form of dodge-ball that is more fun and less dangerous.
These features may be located on either East or West side or may be out the back of the property. In the event that we would have both East and West side rented we ask that these areas be reserved ahead of time to insure neither group is disrupted by the other.
Our large pool has a capacity of 70 but is limited to 25:1 for life-guarding. Pool time must be scheduled in advance and lifeguards are required. There is plenty of seating on our spacious pool deck and the men’s and women’s restrooms have a shower in each space.
This point that provides much inspiration is a lookout and the highest elevation of the grounds with a great view of taquitz there is seating for about 70 people and a gazebo just around the rocks.
A short walk past our A frame cabins will bring to our Labyrinth. Used as a space for quiet meditation and reflection on life’s journey many visitors find our labyrinth to be a very humbling spiritual experience.
Buckhorn Camp owns 120 acres of land and 80 acres are undeveloped which allows for some excellent hiking. There are two trails, one is about 2 miles long and runs alongside the creek bed. The other is about a half mile and leads out to the corner of the property where there is a large wooden cross and a beautiful point to look out over the valley.
Our outdoor volleyball court is located among the trees tucked just behind the RV parking area.
Just behind the last of the A frames and up the hill we have our human foosball court that is sure to provide lots of fun.
There are 9 disc golf holes sprinkled throughout the back area of the campground.
